Dednam Couture Terms & Conditions
- Dednam Couture operates by appointment only. Book a consultation or dress alteration fitting via WhatsApp or E-mail.
Operating Hours
Tuesdays to Thursdays: 8:00 -17:00
Fridays: 8:00 -14:00
Saturdays 9:00 – 13:00
- A once-off consultation fee is payable prior to the day of your appointment to confirm your appointment. Alteration appointment fees are included in the price of the alterations.
- Consultation fees are not refundable if you cancel your appointment. Appointments can be rescheduled to another date within one month of the original appointment at no extra charge.
- Number of guests accompanying you to consultations and fittings are limited to 3 people (or as arranged prior to your appointment) because of limited space in my fitting room.
- Quotations for new orders and alterations are valid for 1 calendar month, whereafter the quotation will be reviewed before proceeding with your order.
- Quotations for your garment include time spent on design of pattern, manufacturing of the garment, fittings and travel cost when fabric shopping.
- Expect to have between 2-4 fittings before your garment is completed. (Urgent fittings after hours can be arranged at an extra fee)
- The design of your garment remains the intellectual property of Dednam Couture.
- On acceptance of your quotation, 50% deposit is required whereafter we can make an appointment to source the fabric.
- Fabrics used for your garment is subject to availability in fabric retailers/wholesales in Pretoria. If you require to source fabric from outside of Pretoria, in Gauteng, Dednam Couture will gladly accompany you at an extra charge for travel and time spent.
- Orders for new garments need be consulted at least 4 to 6 months before your function date.
- First alteration fitting should be scheduled at least 2 to 4 months before your function date.
- Any design changes or add-ons made before or after the first fitting will be quoted before changes will be made and payment therefore is due on collection of finished garments.
Cancellation of orders
- If your order is cancelled before any fabric was bought and before any work has commenced 50% of your deposit will be refunded.
- If your order is cancelled after cutting of fabric your deposit is not refundable, and the fabric will remain the property of Dednam Couture.
- Outstanding balance is payable on collection of your finished garment. All garments remain the property of Dednam Couture until full payment is reflecting in our bank account.
- Dednam Couture offers cleaning services for pre-loved and altered wedding and evening gowns. Cleaning of dresses are at your own risk and Dednam Couture cannot take any responsibility in the case of fabric being discoloured or damaged due to old age or quality of the gown i.e., some fabrics like tulle may display fine wrinkles after cleaning which is unpreventable.
- All terms and conditions need to be accepted before any further appointments will be made. Terms and conditions will be sent via WhatsApp and /or E-mail.
Force Majeure
Dednam Couture will not be liable for any damages relating but not limited to:
- Cancellation of the wedding.
- Any acts of God, war, invasion, or military action, acts, orders, civil disturbance, strikes, lockdowns, or inability to procure services or material after due and timely diligence, late deliveries or late performances of services from sub-contractors or suppliers, breakdown of machinery, fire, flood or accident or any cause beyond the reasonable control of Dednam Creative whether or not similar to the causes specifically mentioned herein, which may affect the wedding.
- If Dednam Couture is at fault, directly or indirectly for any defects in any item ordered or the late delivery of such item, Dednam Couture’s liability will be limited to the value of the purchase price of the item and no subsequent damages will be claimable from Dednam Couture its members or its representatives.
